About GroundSwell Music
GroundSwell Music is a Halifax, Nova Scotia-based professional music company. The company was founded in 1991 by Ian McKinnon to meet the management needs for his group, Rawlins Cross. With a focus on East Coast Canadian talent, through the years, GroundSwell Music has provided artist management and record label services to its tight-knit roster.
To assist with the needs of our artists, GroundSwell Music works in close partnership with a network of industry partners around the globe, including labels, global digital distributors, publicists, radio trackers, publishers, booking agents, sync agents and digital marketing specialists.
In 2015, GroundSwell Music expanded into event and festival production. Festival properties have included:

The GroundSwell Music Festival, a celebration of East Coast music, food & drink.
Over the years, GroundSwell Music has won a plethora of industry awards including East Coast Music Awards and Nova Scotia Music Awards for Company of the Year, Manager of the Year and Industry Professional of the Year. Our artists have also received numerous nominations and awards for their projects including: ECMA Rising Star Recording of the Year, Group Recording of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Rock Recording of the Year.
